True to its name (baretto means “small bar” in Italian), the venue serves Italian bar food in a relaxed style overlooking spectacular Freshwater Beach. The wine list is all-Italian, all by the glass with a focus on the region of Sardinian wine. The Baretto also serves great classic cocktails – including the Pilu Negroni and a selection of spritzes, Sardinian and local beers.
The contemporary menu changes daily and consists mostly of small dishes with amplified flavours, designed to consume with a drink in hand. Mainstays include cured meats and cheeses, antipasti and calamari fritti. There will always be a number of substantial meat and pasta dishes, all served alongside a succinct wine list of mostly Italian varietals. By day, the breakfast and lunch menus focus on lighter dishes: egg and pancetta rolls, freshly baked cakes and muffins, panini, salads and of course, great espresso.
Baretto Nights only opens during daylight savings and we are excited to be back from November 3rd. Join us on Friday and Saturday nights to enjoy the warm weather and late sunsets. Reservations are only available for Baretto Nights. Breakfast and lunch are walk in only.
